Sony tease the fuck out of us with FFVII remake on PS3

First of all, *WHO KNOWS* if it will happen. This video is to show what a remake would look like on PS3, so...

Lets jsut hope they DO remake it, because that would be an insta-purchase:

i would buy a ps3 for that, just watching that video made me feel all excited :icon32:

i'm waiting for the ps3 to be released so i can get a ps2 cheaply to play the other final fantasies.

Wow, the video rocks... The detail is great but what got me is they copied it exactly, but higher detail...

I hope they do remake 7, because i know a lot of people that would sell their house for a PS3 plus that. It seems like a good move for Square... But also must be a HUGE amount of time...

It doesn't look as good as other movies i've seen of PS3. The fact that i'm saying that about the way THIS looks is fucking stupid and crazy, because this looks stunning. But they NEED to do this. I repeat, they NEED to remake 7.

it says tech demo. i doubt it will make it to a game

President of Square Enix, Youichi Wada, was quick to point out that this wasn't a teaser, nor a hint of any intention to do a re-make of Final Fantasy VII, but explained that Final Fantasy titles were indeed guaranteed to come to PS3 one day.

well they 'need' to duplicate ff7, not remake it. remakes often results in too many changes. now they just need to do it with this new tech and keep the rest the same (digital audio too oblviously).
