I dub thee Data's Beard 2.0
Like a phoenix rising from the ashes my Z77 was reborn into an x99.
While technically this one doesn't have the "award winning" moniker yet, I think its fair to say it would crush the competition.

Looks awesome

Re: I dub thee Data's Beard 2.0
That looks pretty okay, I guess, if that's all you can afford.

Re: I dub thee Data's Beard 2.0
If I had to do it all again I should've went with a mATX or ITX board. Dunno what I was thinking. No one needs 5 pcie slots anymore.
Re: I dub thee Data's Beard 2.0
What you should do is wait for Gwamps to post his weak-ass overpriced budget build again.

Yes, I too like the B&W look and tidy cabling/tubingphantasmagoria wrote:I love a black and white theme. Nice build

Thanks guys. The watercooling is pretty fun. I might try hard tubing next.

Re: I dub thee Data's Beard 2.0
Sweet looking rig and great performance. The case looks really big though. What do you think you have invested in water cooling?
Re: I dub thee Data's Beard 2.0
Case is 16.34" x 13.07" x 18.03", so its like a double width mid tower.
Watercooling was probably around $600. 2 blocks, 2 rads, pump, reservoir, tube and fittings. Take that with a grain of salt though, it could be done for much cheaper with basic components.

The water cooling looks really cool and that's enough of a reason to do it. But does it serve another practical purpose? Are you doing some insane overclocking?

Yes, also the more radiator space you can pack in your case the lower you can run your fans.

Re: I dub thee Data's Beard 2.0
What kind of additional performance are you getting? Are you O/Cing the video care too?
Re: I dub thee Data's Beard 2.0
32%, yes.
This guy has a lot of water cooling tutorials on his channel.

Want. Fu.
Re: I dub thee Data's Beard 2.0
but that's custom liquid cooling compared to regular liquid cooling, you get the prior for looks
