Awesome creatures. I had one fly into my windshield once while I was doing around 50 mph. I felt awful, even though I couldn't have done anything to miss him, but when i got out and looked for it, he was nowhere to be found. The bastard flew right off!

Awesome pic btw. :icon14:

Same thing almost happened to me. Was drivin at about that same speed when a giant Owl ass was right in front of my windshield. Luckily I didn't hit it.

there's some sort of bird of prey thing living in the woods behind work. the path through them's been littered with little fluffy corpses for the last week or two. the security guard says it's a sparrowhawk or something.

best thing about it is it's call - after you stumble across another freshly disembowelled bird, you hear this short call through the trees,. and it sounds like nelson from the simpsons laughing.

Big owls and other birds of prey are fucking mean. I used to work with them in a care center and they're all fucking bastards. The only ones who are good are pigmy owls, who are like 2 inches tall, and their defences consist of staying still and assuming you can't see them, like some kind of hooker.

Boy I'm glad hookers don't use that defense around here. When you're drunk it's hard to spot anything that isn't moving.

No no, hookers can only detect movement.
