Dude, read before posting something!
His parents were not Syrian, they were Iranian! I already wrote that here in this very thread. And you can read it everywhere on the fucking internet.
He was born here, so his parents left Iran at least 18 years ago. You can google yourself what had happened in Iran 18+ years ago to guess what their reason for leaving the country might have been. Not that it would matter as to why their son freaked out.
Nowadays, Iran is not a supporting country of ISIS, quite the opposite. They are actively fighting it.

It was that kind of reasoning that resulted with us in Iraq.

Oh, I'm very sorry Ferrao. Okay. It's not Syria, it's the neighbour, Iran/Iraq. No matters. It's almost everywhere. Oh, I'm running out of arguments. Better go to deepweb and watch some childporn than arguing with probably best informed people thinking of knowing media informations is a win

Oh wait, what opinion was your opinion, actually. You asked us for our opinion.
But your opinion was... hmmm. A yeah, I remember, all refugees and aliens are a threat to everyone.
Re: Shooting in Munich, South Germany
Hebdo attackers were French by birth.
Woolwich murderers were British by birth.
All but 1 of the Paris bomb attackers (11+ people in all ? ) were French or Belgium nationals by birth.
Truck driver was Tunisian who wasn't even 'radical' when he left for France in 2005 - aged 19/20. Was a French national.
Those 2 dudes that blew up the Boston marathon had moved to America from Russia before the age of 10. Were American nationals.
All the 7/7 bombers were British by birth.
These people are being radicilised in their country, you don't need the media 'fluff' to tell you that. You also don't need them to tell you that only 1 attacker had gained access by claiming to be a refugee who would've likely entered the continent through other means reguardless.
Who was the dude who killed the priest ?

Re: Shooting in Munich, South Germany
The internet fame of Thomas Salbey
a.k.a. a German post-WW2 hero is born
This is the story of the Balcony Man, the man that scolded badly at the Munich Shooter Ali S., as the latter got too close into Salbey's personel space. Salbey might have saved some lives by doing what he seems to be best in, scolding at someone. No, honestly, maybe his scolding really distracted the shooter from his plan and was the cause for the 2 hours that the shooter just disappeared between his shooting at the McDonalds and his suicide.
We will see a video of Ali S., the shooter of Munich, standing on the upper deck of a parking garage, trying to elaborate on the case and his reasonings with a german citizen who happens to live in one adjacent concrete-block, Salbey. Why Ali S. came up there is not known to this date. Maybe he wanted to reload the gun (he reportedly had 300 rounds of ammunition with him) or maybe he was just lost in a quarter that he didn't know but that he chose to go on a killing spree in. Maybe he had already realized how badly he had fucked up since he had already shot 9 people dead at the McDonalds at the Olympia-Einkaufs-Zentrum and was looking for a quiet place to rest and re-evaluate the hopeless situation he had himself brought into.
Not with Salbey, though. Thomas Salbey doesn't give a flying fuck.
The article that made me do this post was this one in the "Welt am Sonntag". That is a larger, serious German newspaper. No Boulevard bullshit, slightly left wing from what I know.
For a better understanding of the background it should be noted that the area where the Munich shootings happened is a region with mostly poor income. A lot of migrants live there, as well as lower class "pure" Germans. Thomas Salbey is one of the latter.
The mentioned article first goes into detail about the video that has gone viral and how the Welt found the original source. The filmer was one Mersad, some guy living next to the parking garage who commited to the Welt that he had made that video. He didn't want any much journalism on him but he said that he was of Muslim belief, had come to Germany 8 years prior and was shocked that even here you can't live in peace, after all. "What has happened in France, Belgium or here is simply just sad and inhuman." "This is not Islam. This is terrorism and terror has no religion."
Qutoe from the article: "Der Mann habe gerufen, dass er Deutscher sei und dass es nicht um den Islam gehe, erinnert sich Mersad, dessen Handy mit den Originalaufnahmen inzwischen von der Polizei beschlagnahmt wurde." - "The man would have shouted that he was German and that this was not about Islam, Mersad remembers, whose cell phone with the original recordings was since seized by the police."
So, let's start with the video:

And here now the rest of the story, the translation from rest of the Welt article titled "Zeuge wollte Amokläufer mit Bierflasche stoppen" - "Witness wanted to stop Amokrunner with a beerbottle" that sums up the aftermath:
"Asked if he hadn't been afraid to scold the assailant that badly, Mersad responded: „That wasn't me. That was our neighbour, a storey above us.“
Thomas Salbey doesn't care if his name is fully publicized. „I'm not afraid of that scum.“, says the 57 year old and leads us onto the balcony from where you have a good overview of the parking garage.

Salbey is stil enraged. „Yesterday evening I was here drinking my afterwork beer, then I heard shots and then I noticed that full retard down there with the gun.“ says the excavator-operator. „I even tried to hit him throwing my beerbottle but it broke over there on the transition to the parking garage.“
Salbey takes a deep breath of air: „If I would have had a rattle, I'd not have thrown the bottle but would have gotten him a shot to the head, that complete idiot.“ „You aren't quite right („Lights are on but noone's at home“), I shouted, you are an asshole!“ Salbey remembers, „no, he said, I'm German.“ Then the man had had his gun uppered „and bam, bam, bam, I went into cover.“
He would have only learned afterwards about the whole dimension of the assassination. „He was a psycho, he wasn't quite right, you could see that.“
Salbey is leaing on the balustrade, watching the police searching for traces on the parking garage. What is he thinking now? „This is getting worse and worse here, it already is the third world war!“
Actually, the chancellor is the culprit of the incidents as the one at the OEZ (the shopping mall) in his opinion. „Merkel let's everyone into the country“, Salbey scolds, „she's always like, we can do it, we can do it.“
The fact that the shooter was not a refugee but grew up and went to school here can not damp his anger at Merkel on this day."
He even invited the british press, not giving a fuck about his impression:
"He invited Mail Online into his untidy flat.
In his bedroom a five-foot long radio controlled plane and a poster of a naked blonde hang over his bed.
Other pin-up pictures of topless women adorned the walls, while almost every piece of space in the flat was taken up with his belongings."

Yep, noticed quite a lot of mistakes myself now, grammar and stuff. Would you do me the favour of correcting me? I'd appreciate it.

Read the reddit transcript, the dude in the pic was arguing with the shooter, everything before that praises the dude for his bollock size and everything after gives kinda an after story, I think.seremtan wrote:someone translate this into english plz

Hmm, so even my main point didn't come over in a clear fashion.losCHUNK wrote:the dude in the pic was arguing with the shooter, everything before that praises the dude for his bollock size and everything after gives kinda an after story, I think.
This dude, Salbey, seems to be your typical right-wing low-income German employed guy. He had had some beers on that friday late afternoon after work on the balcony of his one-room apartement. So, lightly drunk as he was with the prospect of getting some more as it was early in the evening, he shouted his opinion at the shooter. That the guy was a "fucking asshole. A Kanacke (bad word for foreigner, somewhat comparable to the N-word)".
The shooter got himself into that argument, explaining himself as exactly not being that but a born German. Salbey, in his right-wing rage doesn't care; still believes this to be some kind of islamistic-grounded terror attack.
The grand irony in this case being that they were both behaving profoundly unprofessionel at what they were doing. The shooter was stupid enough to get into a conversation with that right-wing drunk, while Salbey should have just covered up in his one-room flat and leave things to the police. But not with him. He was fed up with all those fucking Turks and Muslims and Kanacken and whatnot. He had to stand his ground. The balcony of his one-room untidy, plastered with pin-ups, flat.
The whole situation seems to have had left an impression on the shooter, as after that, he left the scene and went into hiding for 2 hours before he was caught by police and finally commited suicide.

Re: Shooting in Munich, South Germany
Drawing a lot of conclusions there.
For a start he mightve been up on the roof trying to find soemwhere to hide, where he would've stayed before the cops found him and eventually self terminated.
And it's become a stereotype more or less, go back to 96 and the jokes were about the Irish.

Well, I live in this city. So, I think I can draw conclusions here. I might be wrong, though.
Yes, it is unclear as to why the shooter went on top of the parking garage, I stated that.
"And it's become a stereotype more or less, go back to 96 and the jokes were about the Irish."
Were they? I didn't know that. What's the best source to look that up?

Re: Shooting in Munich, South Germany
I don't even know where I would find stuff like that, all I can tell you is when I was growing up during the 80s and 90s all terrorists were portrayed as Irish people, even in movies. I'll try n dig you sommat up though. Wasn't just the Irish either, Jews were predominately white and active in terrorism up until the 2nd World War, they were portrayed in much the same way prior to that war then obviously public opinion had a bit of a swing.
And when I said you're drawing a lot of conclusions, what I mean is you're drawing a lot of conclusions based on nothing more than a clip and some cherry picked info. So even if you live in the area you're still stretching the arguement (I also live in one that has a lot of racial tension). All we know is that he's possibly an unemployed bum that doesn't like black people on roofs with guns acting like a terrorist.
edit: Quick Google search dug this up, any good ?

I love the comment on that link

It still doesn't sink in...A marginalized group of people attacking soldiers and police officers is completely different than running a truck into a crowd of innocent families and crushing them to death or walking into a night club and slaughtering party goers. I can't even believe you're trying to compare the two.
