Oh come on. Rebooting a much appreciated classic movie featuring 4 guys and having it feature 4 women instead doesn't feel like a backwards attempt at showing gender equality to you?
also, note how Puff gets all fuck-the-patriarchy about it being four women, but doesn't care that it's the three white girls who are the brainy science types while the black girl is a total racial stereotype in a low wage public sector job

don't get all excited, not sure how you took my observation politically ... as for your other point i didn't even pay enough attention to know by myself that they were all women let alone who the smart ones are etc..
