I was about to reply but you beat me to it.
I have not heard of either The 100 or Black Sails plained.
Googling I see one is a pirate theme and the other science fiction/apocalypse.
Tell me a little about them please.

well The 100 is a character driven show that really explores the "grey" areas of right and wrong, among other things.
really, its a good ride with a solid team, and its good because it moves at a nice quick pace.
Black Sails is just a great show with a lot of twists and because it is a preiod piece, it is a show I enjoy very much.
it too has terrific characters , one thing tho is this show takes a few episodes to acclimate oneself to so-to-speak .
like Vikings , i didnt think i was going to like it but after a few epi's it was pretty evident i was wrong, i liked it!
