I saw a religious website that explained it like this.

In the beginning, there was no radiation penetrating earth's atmosphere, and radiation is what causes incestuous genes to mutate. It wasn't until the storms that flooded the earth, that radiation started entering the atmosphere, and by that time people had diversified enough for it not to affect them.

Seems some people will go to great lengths, and even attempt to use the science they are trying to discredit, to try to explain the inconsistencies and contradictions in the bible. :icon27:
