Slow TV (Norwegian)

Post by seremtan »

anyone ever watched any of this?

this is the show that kicked it off - BergensBanen minutt for minutt - 7.5 hours of a train journey from Oslo to Bergen

strangely hypnotic. would work well with Oculus Rift and multiple stereo cameras onboard

I'm putting this fullscreen on my 2nd work monitor now. Should be done near the end of my workday.

Well fuck that. After 3 minutes it enters a tunnel and you're looking at nothing but a black screen for god knows how long >:E

edit:
youtube's got speed controls. Double speed. It's a high speed train. Only 3,5 hours now. Weee!

I must admit though, as long as you're not in a pitch black tunnel (of which there are quite a lot over there), it is a stunningly beautiful part of the world.

Use the controls at the top left, ideally watch on the YouTube app of your phone. You'll need a phone with a gyro .

Did you try the phone version? Would be a brilliant way to watch films, if not a little annoying having to turn around to see behind you.

lol yeah there's a lot of em, and long ones too!
What's interesting to see as well is how they carved paths out of the rock without needing to build a tunnel or of it.

I left it running all the way to Oslo. Pretty impressive when you get to the snowy bits up in the mountains.

This one is good, half an hour watching some dude make a wooden chair by hand - no voiceovers or music.

That's pretty cool. I have to say that would be quite a neat job, to be driving that boat around. Provided the weather wasn't too crazy.

Are you still watching this though? Is it a meditative kind of thing for you? Like an ASMR thing for Norwegian trains?
