I doubt that will ever make it to the US. I believe Groening pushes back significantly on that.

The Chzech version of Budweiser (or maybe it's Slovakian) is actually quite drinkable

Bud is easily my favorite beer, but from what I've been told the Canadian version isn't the same as the US one. I don't really care about the naysayers I just find it's a good thirst quencher. Whether that means it's watery or not.. *shrugs*

Pilsner is favourite number one here. Personaly I think it's quite the same whatever you drink, talking about what beer is better is like woman deciding what she takes on this night for a dance. The taste is not much different, today it's almost all the same quality and taste and it's likely to choose based on the price instead of the taste. Some people preffer one trade over others, but often for the reason that this trade is served in their favourite pub.

Well if you drink beer as a thirst quencher i guess i can understand why you'd like a watery beer that's utterly inoffensive taste wise to 99.9% of humans. If you drink beer because you like beer you're doing it wrong - even a Heineken has a more developed taste and i consider that completely shit.

I'm a bit of an elitist prick when it comes to beer though

Shut up, just shut up. You're wrong and you should feel bad. Go away.

Are you sure? :smirk: I only wrote my own opinion. Sure there are some pisses that are not worth drinking, but overall the industrial beers are the same. I did not compare pubs that make their own beer (like one here in Ústí nad Labem, Rychta, they have their own beer named Mazel). Sure these minor, small taverns are completely different in the taste...

Hear, hear! Craft beer scene in Vancouver has been taking off like fucking crazy over the last two years, I love it. Right now sour beers are all the rage. Also I've noticed craft beers regularly seem to be 8 or 9% or higher and still taste unreal. Shit is deceiving. I went to a city one province over a while back for work and there was no craft scene to be found. Almost made me want to open a craft brewery there.

Ever tried any Dogfish Head, Stone, Deschutes, or Victory just for starters? If not, then maybe you should un-elevate your nostrils and give them a shot before making ignorant statements like that. Craft brews have made quite a jump here in the last 10 or so years.

Drinking some Ommegang Three Philosophers Quadruple. Of course it must taste like sugar or so I'm told by a guy that drinks Black Label and says it's good (it's bottom of the barrel nasty ass swill).
