Re: Quake Live Beta invites 2: the Revenge

Those SOBs! I registered and now I am just waiting for the activation link/code. Its been like 15 minutes, seems like forever. Anyone have to wait an extended period of time for the activation email to show up? And don't tell me to check my spam folder. >:(

Yeah I've had that happen with the laptop before. Had a external monitor hooked up and then later after I wasn't using it anymore I forgot to shut off the secondary monitor in the drivers. Nothing like having a cursor on a monitor that isn't there.

Crinkly, your going to need a whole new system to play Q4 and any other modern day game, your current one isnt worth upgrading. lies all he needs is a gig o ram plus a 6800 or better if he can afford it and hes set. It wont help much, a 1.8Ghz cpu will just bottle neck a 6800. I have a AXP running ...

Not to be negative but burnable DL DVDs are quite expensive. Unless you really need the data on 1 disc, I'd stick with the 4.XGB DVDs (single layer) which are cents compared to 8.XGB (dual layer) DVDs which are dollars.

I would just save enough for a new cpu/mobo/video card. It wouldnt be worth sticking with the socket a/462 system. The AXP offer better performace per clock and memory bandwidth (which you can use with the current memery). Don't buy a new card with this system, PCI Express is the way to go if you're...

I can only suggest trying to look for reviews on the items you listed first. I would tend to favor samsung over the other one because I know they make quality displays, but who knows maybe the Hyundai is better for the $. Try to google for reviews on each. Take user reviews on websites like amazon a...

Try this if nothing else works... Backup your shit. Ghost that particular partition (to another machine). Erase all the partitions on that drive. Recreate the partion size you need on that drive. Dump the ghost image on that new partition (from the other machine). I however have become spoiled with ...

That version of Alcohol has probably been blacklisted by SafeDisc 4.6. By that I mean the dll's or some type of driver installed is known by the SafeDisc program (which is not letting you load the game). Check their forums on removing the file off your PC that SafeDisc is looking for, or install an ...
