Total Overdose released this Friday

Yeah...so...yeah. September 16 is the release date.
We here at Deadline will be partying all this weekend from this Thusday and will probaby go until sometime next Friday. My liver will probably never recover.
I highly recommend the console versions as they have a more "arcady" feel. The PC version feels too much like Max Payne for me...but whatever.
Fags.

Why do I keep thinking you work on "boiling point"?
I must've hurt their sales so much because i kept telling people "Don't buy that. Someone i know on the internet worked on it and he's a total faggot."

I’m going to encourage everyone I know who owns a console not to buy it. :icon14: So the 3 sales you won’t get can be attributed to me, ownage.

This game will do good, I've seen a ton of people on other forums rave about wanting to play it. That and just because it looks like gta will have a million kiddies swarm all over it.

I just found out some "marketing" stuff...
There will be an eight-week run of 60 second "advertorials" on MTV, featuring interviews with the characters of the game. There will be a week long campaign on the TMF music channel, along with a three-week ad blitz across C4, Five, MTV, E4, Sky One, ITV2, Sky Movies, Sky Sports and Bravo.
The 10 week press campaign will encompass FHM, Loaded, Nuts, Daily Star and T3, with Total Overdose also set to feature in 20-second ads in 1500 bars throughout the UK. Not to mention the multi-page ads in Playstation UK, PSW and other gaming rags.
So I guess they're spending some money on promoting the game.
We'll be drinking half the marketing budget this week and next. :icon26:

I just installed GTA San Andreas. I've never played a GTA game before, but if I enjoy it I might consider getting Total Overdose too.

In all seriousness....it is NOT a GTA game. Like GTA3 (et al) it's 3rd person and you can jack cars....and we give you a big world to explore...but that's about where the similarities end.
Some reviewers are actually STILL comparing our game to the GTA series...which misses the point entirely. Oh well...nobody said you had to pay attention to something before writing a review for it. :icon32:

Yes...but not by me. We have designed it so you can indeed complete all missions in one go...if you do it right. One tester had a crazy +200 combo. Nuts.
Me? I'm too busy making sure my headshots look cool jumping off a wall rather than making one big combo. However...I did manage to cap 5 headshots before I touched the ground. :icon26:

No. With you and your LAN parties it'll be passed around more times than your wife at a family reunion.

Yeah...I guess. Or...more in line with Max Payne + GTA + Tony Hawk.

How about a beta version, maybe a demo? I'm not so sure I'm interested in buying this title, especially when you consider the source. Just knowing that a fat, bald doofus such as yourself played a role in the develpoment of this game makes me a bit uncertain. Combine that with a 3rd rate company like Deadline and you lose even more points. You should be doing everything you can to sell this, even gay sex for those that are interested.
Come to think of it, never mind. I didn't even buy GTA SA. If it makes you feel any better, I'll D/L it from a torrent if I see it.
