Anyone played HIDDEN mod for HL2?

Fresh and fun mod i must say.
You hunt subject 617(known as hidden) but the problem is that you cant see him.. !!? :icon28: (you see him kinda like predator with that camelont transparent shield..)
So you gotta rely on sounds and you squad members.. the player that kills subject 617 plays as him next round.. and until someone else kills him.
Dident take any screenies from subject 617 view..forgot when i played..but ur screen is brighter and you have somewhat wider fov..around 105 in Quake3arena :p
IRIS team have shotties and submachine guns.. subject have a knife an one pimp bomb.

Very fun mod in its early stage..well worth downloading though.

Early into the new millennium, due to a gross miscalculation, a series of tests on Subject 617 led to a massive synaptic trauma leaving the patient with multiple genetic anomalies.

The subject was left in constant pain and with unstable DNA. The subject escaped captivity, killing anyone that got in its way, the I.R.I.S (Infinitum Research Intercept Squad) team have been deployed to return the subject to a maximum security Infinitum Research facility for further study and dissection. The entire project was considered a failure, all funding ceased and development was discontinued. All records and traces of the experiments were destroyed. Infinitum Research denies all knowledge of any form of human DNA manipulation but are more than happy to comment on the possibilities of cloning human organs inside suitable animal donors. It is believed that these organ cloning experiments form the main cover for their human genetic manipulation experimentation.

As the I.R.I.S team close their net around it, subject 617, known as The Hidden must turn the tables becoming the hunter instead of the hunted!

Here is how you see him.. look close on the first pic on the right side of the door in the stairs..now look at the other pic at the same spot.. lol, not easy to see him and i guarantee that you will shit yer pants more than once cos of the suspense.

Shame that bottom pic is using Doom 3 textures... I've been working with them, i'm 100% positive.

The description kind of reminds of me of the Night Hunters mod for Quake2.

a) It is bad, because that makes the mod "illegal" so look that one up.

b) I've already posted pics of myself and laura.

This sounds like a (albeit improved) clone of the Mutant gametype in UT2004.

One player starts as the mutant and has a ton of ammo, health and speed. Everyone else is a regular player. Kill the mutant and you get to be him until you die.

person with lowest score becomes the 'bottom feeder' and can kill anyone.

Except the mutant gets just a knife and is much harder to see than it ut2004.

Problem is, everyone replaces the invisible shader with a pink neon one making the bloke instantly visible from across the map.

This game is fun, but holy shit it's like impossible to see the fucker. I finally got him a few times after shooting randomly.

Dont like it

First off, it keeps fucking reseting my mic channel, so that means no mic in game because i use a different channel than HL2 wants me to..
Secondly, Hes to "hidden"
Third, Damage needs balanced badly

well, its still in an early stage... version 2is coming up...and it looks smashing.

I had a good look about this a week or so ago and have to say it is pretty impressive.

.... and like the Mutant gametype in UT2004.

Fun but you really have to work at this mod for good gameplay :icon14:
