On a budget.. Kinda

So, i have "ABOUT" 1k to just toss away into my comp, as of now its as follows

ABIT KN8 Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail

XFX PVT70FUNF7 Geforce 7800GTX 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card with 450MHz Core and 1250MHz Memory - Retail

OCZ Peroformance 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Unbuffered Dual Channel Kit System Memory Model OCZ4002048PFDC-K - Retail

AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Venice 1GHz FSB Socket 939 Processor Model ADA3200BPBOX - Retail

My "biggest" worry is that motherboard.. anyone suggest one in the same price range thats better?

Oh, and anyone looking to upgrade their shit? Got a nice machine sitting here that will need a HD and CD drive and itll be a nice gaming rig that will be for sale..

What's the difference between the Abit AN8 and KN8 series? The AN8 is $94.

By the way, SOAP...do you know about the free motherboard from eVGA with their 7800GT or 7800GTX?

GT:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814130238

GTX:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814130234

The board is actually supposed to be very good.

Anandtech reviewed the board here:
http://anandtech.com/mb/showdoc.aspx?i=2506

The Jetway board is the same as the eVGA board. I think they made it for eVGA.

I'm guessing the S/PDIF connections on the AN8 make it a little more expensive.

Don't the newer ones (Venice & San Diego) have SSE3 and better power management?

What is wrong with that?

I'd like to see some benchmarks how much of a difference CPU speed really makes from a 3000+ on up.
