I've been anti-corporate ever since I had the "pleasure" of working at
Centex Homes earlier this year.
You'd think that the majority of corporations out there could give back a little to all the millions of workers/consumers they have been exploiting day in and day out since the beginning of the corporate revolution... but no. Don't get me wrong, they will give
some money to the hurricane relief efforts, but it won't be a lot comparatively speaking... and moreover the decision to give money is based more on the fact that it will help their future propaganda efforts, as opposed to giving money out of goodwill.
I believe however, Walmart has given more to the hurricane relief efforts than any other single corporate entity... I could be wrong.

that's true however that's the nature of the beast. their bottom line, and the thing the management are legally bound to do, is increase/maintain shareholder profit. that's all. asking corporations to be 'nicer' is liking asking rain to be less wet

They should be nicer for their own good. Many corporations do provide a good service to the community as well as providing a good job for those in their systems. I don't think that all corporations are inherently "evil"... however, based on my experiences, Centex is an evil corporation and should be avoided at all costs.
By the way, there is no point to this post... I had orginally intended to reach some sort of point, but then decided it would be funner to just bash Centex.
Bye now.
