I thought this was kinda interesting.

The state admin has decided to go with a open source document format. Not only will this save the state money and legal complications, but its a big boon for rising open source alternatives like StarOffice and OpenOffice. The attention that this brings to the open source movement is certainly welcome and if goes well i can see why other states wouldnt follow. Kinda nice to see a huge business enviroment adopting a open source alternative like this. Now if they will just switch their end users to firefox, i think MS would really have a cow.
