I predict republican biased media shifting as much attention to this as possible.
I dunno if that's obvious or not tho.

I just turned on the TV 20 or so minutes ago, otherwise I watched a bit in the morning.

It's frontpage on CNN now. It's all but obliterated the hurricane coverage in terms of page space.

But I have to ask, is his death frontpage news, given the severity of the New Orleans situation and that his death was... if not expected, then certainly on the cards.

oh well, he was like 300 years old and on death's doorstep.

They need to cover this quickly and focus on the main news like New Orlean, people are still suffering and dying. Any idea who might be taking over? I guess Bush will pick another Nut job.

Oops, didn't see this thread.

This sucks though. As I said, I hope Bush doesn't pick another litmus-tested Federalist Society buddy. The appointment will last a long time, and added to the Roberts nomination, will probably have a very strong effect on individual liberty in this country.

Looks like God answered Pat Robertson :olo: :olo: :olo:

:EDIT:Why did they change icon19 from the icon above to this :icon19:

:EDIT2.0:In the Kelo v New London (the imminent domain case) Rehnquist was a decenting opinion, so it does suck that he went

Jesus may or may not love you, but my biggest fear is some wacko judge who will vote affirmatively for Home Depot coming to a corner store near you

I can't tell if you're being serious or sarcastic.

What's wrong with home depot? :paranoid:
