Going on vacation soon so I'll be bringing my digital SLR camera along. What I need to be able to do is copy the contents of my compact flash from my camera into some sort of larger external storage device. I have an external USB hard drive that may come in handy for this. Problem is, I need to be able to do this while on the road without a computer (laptop too large to bring along).

I've been looking into USB bridge devices as well as some other interesting doohickies that might provide a solution such as the two listed below:

What I need are some suggestions for the best method of doing what I want, minimizing size and stress. Thanks.

Check out Firestore. They make great firewire intermediate storage devices, they may have something for usb/flash.

Do you own an iPod? If so, you can get an attachment to transfer files from CF to the iPod.
