ok need some help...

So basically im goin through some old work i have done with
website and what none but i have forgotten quite a few bits
and bobs especially doin CCS
So this is a bit of code:

.mash is a class so it can be applied to just about any tag by doing <sometag class="mash">.

mash is a class, like Anhedoniac said. It is you who have created it (if it's your code). It can be called whatever you like, and applied to text whereever you want. Can also be applied to other stuff of course (class can be applied anywhere), but this formats text of course.
