Okay, so far the alarm clock is useful... what else?

The ones that come with the app seem okay, design and fuctionality wise. But browsing the widget site it seems a ton of them are just average, with bad looking skins.

penny-arcade and digg news are the decent ones I've seen.

digg is the only one i find useful, the rest just take up space and memory imho. Neat some of them are, but over all, pointless to me.

I think I have everything I need.

A timer-thingie which is really useful I think
A Gmail notifier
An alarm clock
A To-Do list
A swatch "Beat" watch (divides the day into 1000 segments which are the same all over the world. When people finally start using this time reference, it will be really useful.)

They do take up a lot of memory for what they do. None of the widgets uses less than 2 MB memory, even the beat watch. And all that does is convert a number ffs. It doesn't have a fancy skin either. It's just the number.

Either those widget creators are the worst programmers in the world or this Konfabulator thing is rather inefficient.

Boy, if Apple hadn't pissed off the Konfabulator devs by building Dashboard, they never would have jumped ship and went to Wintel and you would never have had widgets at all.
