These days gaz isn't cheap but the monster used cars as Cadillac and town car Lincoln are, because of the High oil price.
Those big cars are energyvore but really dependent on luxuries and securities...I mean I had a really bad accident with one of these that I wouldn't have want with my Honda CRX...I think I wouldn't be here today.
What do you think?
A old big car VS a younger one less energyvore but not as secure.

That was in 1979, I was working in an autobody shop at the time and we had really good deal on used cars.
Bought it for cheap remodelled and paint it.
People tought it was new.
Big dash, full equipped...
That's not the one I had an accident with though.
Forgot to mentionnedd...My father had a Lincoln Mark VI...Something lke that the one sport with the big nose.
I crached it doing 360 degree on the ice...This time it was my fault.
I had a Cady Fleetwood 1969, I've dreamed about this model since I was 14YO.
Crashed it at 140 miles an hour in a curve I couldn't see because the car coming in front of me got me blinded.
160 feet of frost fences 15 studs in 3 feet cement.
Can't believe I came free from any bruise after these.
I even asked the cops to bring me back to the club I was before without any question from them.

I'd rather have crumple zones, airbags, and a dashboard made out of something other than steel, thank you very much

it takes two people to have a car accident...unless of course you're on a gravel road by yourself trying rally, but that's besides the point.
if you're paying proper attention to the road you shouldn't have to worry about being in a "safe car for an accident." that kind of mentallity is just begging for you to get into a car crash.

I have a 1997 Subaru Legacy Wagon. It gets 23 MPG. All wheel drive is nice at times.

head on collisions are only a part of car accidents. when it comes to things like rollovers, getting sideswiped, i'll take the tank.

It takes two, but you wont always be able to drive alone forever. What if you find yourself driving with a friend on a deserted road? Better hope you're in a safe fucking car, that's what.

I wouldn't say it takes two people to have an accident, exactly... if someone pulls out in front of you and you can't stop in time and have nowhere to go, how is that something you can prevent by paying attention?

In that case I'll take my safety glass and side-impact door beams and... well... air bags

Thanks +JuggerNaut+.
Certainly miles (pun) better that the Ford Festiva, owned that for 10 years. It was a great car and did about 113,000 kilometres..
I feel much safer now
I figure old bones don't heal as fast or as well.
Old Festiva picture ... wait here she is

I am looking for a simple Isuzu Rodeo or Pathfinder for the winter because I have to carry big pieces of lumber at time, or a old cady.
