Is this a new one, or has everyone else already had it? Link seems to point to some s&m/domination site

Which reminds me....watch out for the latest paypal scam: They tell you you have to confirm your email address by entering your credit card info (lol) and then it's history. My freind got suckered, but he told the bank right away and didnt lose any money.

The site it sends you to looks just like paypal, but the address bar says http://www.gzwin (dotcom) and then the rest of the address.

I still tend to get phonecalls from my mum going "should I click this link from a random email?"

Here's the easiest way to deal with paypal scams: instead of clicking the link, go log into your account manually. Or just remember that you probably haven't done anything to trigger that email.

Or just mouseover the link in your email reader and then don't click it, like I did :)

I get that one a lot too. Mouseover works ok, but I believe Paypal don't send those kinda account-related emails anyway, just like most banks.

Phishing sucks.

Phishing does suck
Work for a bank and the amount of these emails sent out is silly, also the amount of people that fill them out is silly too. BIG messages over the website..DO NOT GIVE OUT INFO ETC but do they read or listne? NO!!!!

I got one here recently from Paypal (allegedly). But the title of the email on mine was "Your account will be suspended!" They wanted me to "complete an account verification procedure as part of our security measure." Wtfever. There's no way I'm doin that.

Gmail said it was from this person: confirm@paypal.com <paypal@mythtv.lan>

I don't know who mythtv.lan is, but I don't think it's Paypal...
