Castle Deathstalker in Q3A?

I posted this on another forums but it'll probably get a faster response here...

Me and my dorm buddies always loved playing RA3, Castle Deathstalker in particular. What drove them away from it after a while was the RA3 team based system and the fact that you have to wait for the round to end before you can respawn. SO..

Is there any way to play just Castle Deathstalker in Q3A? I copied ra3map4.pk3 into baseq3 and tried to play it but of course people kept spawning in the other arenas that come along with RA3Map4... All me and my friends want is RA3 style play (full weapons/armor on spawn, no falling/self-rocket damage, FF off) with the options of teams, and no round play (respawning constantly)...

Is there any way to make this happen? I wish Castle Deathstalker was a stand alone map so i could just run it with OSP. Please help or they'll keep playing that damn World of Warcraft =/

do tell. im all for ethics and all but im just trying to get my friends back into Q3 and away form the MMORPG thing. its not like im going to make money off of this or discredit map/mod makers.

glad someone's on the case.

poor lad's just trying to make the best of a situation. they can play some q3, bond, then go outside and potentially get some fanny. if they start playing wow they'll be there until they graduate.

yea that map is fun and i'm pretty sure weve used it in osp before.

the lounge shoud get that one.

Don't tinker with binary files unless you know exactly what you're doing. I'd write that mod for you if I had the time but, unfortunately, I don't. You could try decompiling the map with q3map2, editing the entities and then recompiling it again. YMMV.

And PQ doesn't suck, it's just... a little slow :)
