I might have to try that out at a store - I'm interested to see how the scroll ball works. The main two buttons sound interesting too - I wonder if the pressure sensor is like the one in the iPod.

This part doesn't sound good, but hopefully you can turn it off:
Now Hear This

Mighty Mouse even sounds as good as it feels. The audio feedback built into Mighty Mouse provides an aural sensation that responds to your movements. A tiny speaker inside Mighty Mouse produces button-clicking and Scroll Ball-rolling sound effects.
And this made me laugh out loud:
The Button That Wasn’t

Alas the fate of the one-button mouse in today’s multibutton world. Who has time for intuitive, elegant design when there is so much clicking to do?

Sounds like a try before you buy kinda thing, that speaker is kina cool, lol. It wont be loud, it will be as loud as an Ipod speaker if anything (you know, that tiny little click you can hear)

I bought another 510 recently, as mine began going screwy.
Wish it had lasted a bit longer; I quite fancy one of these...

Err, let me just ask a quick dumb question here: will this work on a PC?

What makes me hesitant is the main buttons. Since they are just touch sensitive, that means there isn't really a "click" when you use them.

I'm not sure if I could get used to that or not, and I would want to know how sensitive they are to pressure before getting one. My fingers rest on my mouse buttons all the time, and I press down to click. So without that resistance and click-action, it might be hard to get used to, and I would hope they're not over sensitive.

On the other hand, this thing seems worlds better than normal mice as far as longevity because there are almost no moving parts.

indeed. i don't understand how more people don't know all the blessings that are the keyboard shortcuts. when it comes to work, most people's jobs could actually be streamlined a bit and be more efficient by learning simple keystrokes.

"so much clicking to do" :(

My Logitech V500 mouse makes little clicking sounds when I scroll the touchpad between the buttons. It adds a nice effect so you get some feedback.

I might have to try out this mighty mouse, I love new stuff.

It's a...uh...mouse. Yay.

Are all you Apple users really enamored with the whole one button thing?

It's the fact that the company Apple Computerm has finally offered one. Apple has been notorious for sticking to the 1-button option. When computers first started using mice a single button was good for new users, but these days folks feel limited by fewer than 2 buttons. It's good that Apple has recognized this and has finally offered this option.

But OS X has right click built into it already
