The replacement for Only Mortal... it uses our own master server too. There's a Windows version too.

Looks good! :) I've been waiting for the updates to OM and QuakeMenu for a while. It's good to see progress is being made.

Okay, I need a few testers for the Mac version of the pinger (Windows version later). You'll need WolfET and OS 10.4.x. Mail me if you're interested...

I don't need to translate it yet.

Right now it's 10.4.x only, mostly because I compile it as a universal binary. I intend to get the PPC side going on 10.3.9 later on and offering two downloads (Intel or PPC).

I'd like to test the app out but I dont have WolfET. If you set it up for Q3 I'd love to give it a shot. :)

1.0a1

If anyone has 10.4.1 and above (PPC or Intel) feel free to play with:

http://homepage.mac.com/only_mortal/dow ... _1.0a1.dmg

Ignore the web site for the moment... it's not *quite* ready. You shouldn't be able to create yourself an account there (I hope!!)

You will find the app becomes unresponsive when pinging. It's because the pinger thread is feeding the main thread very quickly (i.e. it's fast). I need to stop the spamming.

The pinging is optimized for a 4Mbit ADSL connection at the moment so your milage may vary etc. You will be able to configure that in the final release.

That will happen but I want to test with WolfET as that's what the master is populated with, it's a free download and I want to iron out the bugs before I do the other Q3 games (which will be trivial).

When I get home I'll give it a shot to see if there are any bugs I can come up with, despite not being able to connect to servers and the like.

That's because it's now on 1.0a2. Fixes some performance issues.

Still a fair bit to do.

By the time I asked, there was no TS for the mac. But yeah, it really works. It's a one-man project, I'm really impressed.

Only the coding monkey gods know, what those guys from Teamspeak have been doing all the time....

IF that guy manages to get voice activation working as well, then there is really nothing left to complain about. Great stuff!
