I don't know why they bother, they'll never stop things like that happening.

To be clear here, does this mean that they are going after people who make amateur (no profit) video clips, which have pieces of copyrighted songs as background music in them?

if so, bye bye own-age.com, just to name one out of many. That's fucking ridiculous, I hope that's not what they are doing.

I don't see a reason to do so, in a few months you're not going to be able to turn the music in your car up where ANYONE else can here it b/c someone will be able to hear it and THEY DIDN'T PAY FOR IT SO THEY ARE THEIFS FFS!

Definitely. Flash movies often inspire to check out new bands too.

That's just pathetic.
I've already read the exact things I'm thinking in this thread.
I've heard some great music I never would of listened to if not for them being in Game videos.

Sad.

*sigh*

I thought that's what it sounded like.

It's madness, giving these lunatics free reign to take the law into their own hands.

If any artists ever tried to unseat the RIAA, it would probably turn out like the Pearl Jam/Ticketmaster debacle. Still, I kinda wish some of them would get together and try it.

This is quite pathetic.
But has it been confirmed that the mail is actually real. Isn't it just some nutjob who thought it would be funny to spoof a RIAA email?

Not to mention saying bye bye to film students.

lol, what a bunch of cunts. was just looking at the list of members on the riaa site and they've listed them by label instead of record company. know a few folks on that list that'd be really suprised to know they're members of the riaa.
