Good thing the only time I ever visit their site is when I do a clean install and need SP2.

Updates are a good thing and while MS is correct in protecting their product, I disagree with them obtaining my OS usage statistics. Even if it is anonymous.

Woo no more updates for me. I do actually have a legal key for XP Pro but in order to use it I have to re-install (I'm running corporate), which I can't be bothered to do, plus I hate the stupid activation shit.

i got 4 or 5 legal copies of windows xp. none of them are installed. and i'm using the pirated version on all my computers.

You can disable the Windows Genuine Advantage add-on in Tools/Manage Add-ons (in IE) and get the updates.
