Invisibility wouldn't be practicle because everyone would have it and they would all bumb into each other. As well we need to see each other for many reasons.
I don't know why they want to invent it anyways.

especially if they're invisible lightsabers
and if food was invisible, we'd all starve unless we carried sprayguns to squirt paint on stuff in the supermarket so we can see it. unless it was invisible paint, in which case we'd all starve
