HTML table problem

I saw that bitWISE posted some code that had some tables laid out like I wanted. I know
very little about html and have mostly just slapped the word "test" around some commands until it went to where I wanted to post a image or table. :icon32:
Question I have is I want to put some images, text into the center area in the link above. But I have no idea why it want go where I want it to. The code my be totaly wrong but that's the best I could do. I've been searching for 3 days now on some source code I had and cant find it. It had just what I needed, but oh well.
anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

yeah you are using tables, try css instead.

would rather stick with what I'm doing for right now...like I said I know very little about html to begin with.

Your code is really messed up and I haven't used tables in a long time. I suggest you get a premade template and mess with that instead.

That's some good stuff! Found an example of what I'm going for so guess I'll just use one of those for an example. thanks.

this took 2 minutes of cut/paste so it aint great but a lot closer than what you had
replace your second table with this:

dont use the center tag, it has been invalid for years now.
use div align="center" or summat
