Canon SD200

what would be good settings to take shot during the night ?

i tried the built in "nightshot" option but they come out blurry

also tried on auto mode with AF assist turned off and they're alot better but still a lil blurry..

Put it a tripod, put it into aperture-priority mode, put the aperture at f/5.6 or f/8.0, use manual focus if you can since the autofocus won't work when its dark, use the timer instead of pressing the shutter with your finger.

you definitely need a tripod or something to set your camera on to remain stationary. f4 or f8 are good settings, but the real key here is to leave the shutter open for a while, depending on how dark it is.

If there is VERY little light, you can always set it on 'bulb' and hold the shutter open for a few seconds. With just lowlight, you can set it at 1/2 or 1/4 seconds.
