Um, well, descriptions of movie trailers at Comic-con in San Diego last weekend from movies that aren't finished.
New Superman movie, still being shot, Kevin Spacey ( villian role) just showed up two weeks ago to do his bit. Superman is gone from earth for a while, then comes back to find Lois Lane married and has a kid. She tries to do an article saying the world doesn't care that Superman came back cause it doesn't need him any more, but other articles prove that people do want him back. Hubby apprehensive about Clark's return, trying to find out how much Lois still cares about him. Yadda yadda. Bryan Singer sez he's looked at pretty much all of the previous Superman material from comics and TV, has picked out a look for the movie from all of them, incorporating the Fleischer Brothers look. The trailer is sort of dark with rich colors, cinematography looks good. Clark Kent looks like he is going to be the new " sensitive" type of superhero. Meh, but Singer is a good director so I'll definitely see it, June 2006 release date. He's a very intelligent man, I was impressed. he says the love story is of the old boyfriend coming back, and will be an important part of the movie, zzzzzzz.
King Kong, Peter Jackson ( on film from N.Z.) emceed a special trailer made for Comic-con from footage in various states of being done. It showed the fight between King Kong and the T-Rex, pretty awesome looking. The trailer itself was fascinating because some of the footage looked pretty much finished, some of it was bluescreen stuff, and some of it was only an animatic, but it was all spliced together so the action flowed as it will in the finished movie. Jackson showed it twice, much to my delight. It's going to be mind blowing. Two thumbs up. Still in post production, can't remember if they said a release date or not. Could probably find it on the net if I wasn't so lazy.
"A Sound of Thunder", new movie of Ray Bradbury's story about time travel but don't step on anything. Duinno, they showed a really short trailer about a billion times, I'll go see it cause it's a great story, the movie looks adequate, that one is going to be more in the story, I guess. More dinosaurs, that never hurts. The more, the merrier. I think the release date on that one was September.
Stealth looks like a good action movie, Jamie Fox, Jessica Biehl and Adrian Brody were all there at the Comic-con ( two oscar winners in a row ). Great actors but I doubt if their skills will be taxed much. Jamie Fox sez it's a movie to just get some popcorn, sit back, and go along for the ride. explosions, etc.
Didn't see the Doom movie preview, went surfin' instead, oh well, they are probably going to wreck it anyways. Someone else wrote a good review on that one already posted here.

Bryan Singer said he's going to be redoing Logan's run, too, that should be good. It's a long way off, though, I guess.
