Found out that this book was written by the former cryptography officer from the Liberty after he retired. Saw it mentioned in this review of an interesting looking book...

No, but it's in Israel's best interest to cut a deal with Palestine before HAMAS gains so much power that Israel can't shut them down without losing more than they bargained for.

Isreal isn't going to cut a deal with anyone, nor do they need to. They'll simply keep providing the US with "turrrist jihadi enemies of freedom" and GeeDubya and the warhawks will continue to get what they and Israel want.

I thought Hamas might not be that bad until I heard about them banning some festival in a town they control in the Gaza Strip.
I don't know if this is true or not given the source, but if it is it makes me wonder about people

it is, they ran the same story on channel 4 news here. they interviewed a member of the council who had one dead eye and the other one spiralling madly in it's socket. he was talking about how young men and women shouldn't be out together (and you could tell that his cock turned to iron when he said 'young men and women') because all the blood drained out of his face.
then they interviewed some of the locals, the general consensus from them was something like 'allahdamnit, why did we vote for these crazy assholes - unless another party springs up, next time i'm putting my x next to the jew-huggers'
