I was at my friends house the other day and he was showing off his projector that he has there and I must admit I'm pretty impressed. His whole living room is pretty open and he has the back wall painted in this special white paint that captures projections very well so his whole wall is a tv. Very cool, he's got the whole surround sound deal setup too it's pretty nice, anyone else got a projection tv? I'm thinking about getting one they seem really cool. We could play video games and everything on it too. Only problem I could see though is that if the room was too bright you couldn't really see it well.

My mate has one and while it is good, as you said when its bright its a bastard to watch. Make sure you dont get one thats cheap or it will cost you a fortune in bulbs.

Technically an entertainment center is the piece of furniture that holds all of your entertainment hardware.

my family had a projector way back in the day. they're nice and all but bulbs can cost a pretty penny and you literally need a light-tight room.
oh, and you really wont be missing out on anything if you don't get one either. they're more of a novelty item if you ask me.

light-tight room is from the 80s sir

nowadays there are projectors that give a clear picture in daylight

.bulbs are still expensive though

not quite. to achieve proper black levels with any front projector, you cannot have the room fully lit, especially not with sunlight.

obviously, but its not like you -need- a pitchbalck room to see the screen nowadays, which you used to somewhat years ago.
