For some reason the server list will not appear n i get a notice saying quake couldnt contact the master server. i no i found a way past this a long time ago, but i forget how. Plz help me ( do not send me to gamespy, i hate them)

I have tried the all seeing eye thing too, it detects servers but i cant connect through it

Your problem is most likely your Internet Connection setup.

If you have a router connecting you to the internet, it translates internet traffic into traffic for your computer. however, without being told how to do it, it won't convert Quake III traffic for you.

Thanx, last time i tried to get the patch the page sent me to Gamespy where i couldnt download it without more than a basic registration.
