Why are you so adverse to using a Java-based client like Azureus? Unless you've got a really crappy computer you shouldn't have any problems whatsoever, I've used it for the last year and more and never found it killed performance in any noticable way.

Fair enough I spose, any particular reason? Do you hate Sun? Don't want an extra process running?

The inqusition will stop in a minute because I'm going to bed, I'm just being nosey.

Ahhhhh okay, I can see that, according to AVG I had some supposedly infected archives make their way onto my computer a few times, it was only a case of manual deletion though. Never really found any issue with that since running Windows update though, not had a peep from it about any viruses for a while.

But whatever floats your boat :)

I've had Azureus/Java for over a year now. Still have yet to see a virus show up.

I never used to have virus problems, until they started popping up a few times in java files. Uninstalled that POS after it happened the 2nd time. Not had issues in 6 months.

Only Java app I still use is Limewire...only one that is worth the risk imo. It sucks for everything that's not a .mp3 though, but as far as music goes it's teh win!

Cabos, is better then Limewire imo. I really don't like java, it always seems slugish even with Limewire and Cabos.

I used Burst! but then switched to Azureus, much better. You can try Burst! though, its not java.

Aye, best damn OS X BT client ever. FOr Windows, its Azureus or nothing. The fact you won't install java because of the potential for a virus is saddening, especially for someone using a browser based on the IE core, the king of swiss cheese security.
