good at photoshop?

then please tell me how you do something like this on photoshop

PS CS2 has a nice new feature which makes image warp easier. With it, you can warp layers onto your base layers, to get a 3D impression. Combined with overlay control, and the obligatory tweaking, you should be able to get it looking something like you want it.

The top image still looks ugly though IMO.

You can notice by the wodden post, the graphic sticks above the car.

Easiest (and dirtiest) way: Duplicate the car layer as a new image. Make that grayscale, and repair any areas that may have a glare on them. Then save that file and go back to the other file. Select the pattern, and use the grayscale image as a displacement map.

After that's done, go through and mask out any areas you don't want visible (e.g. the windows, headlights) and then apply whatever layer blending options you want to make it appear as if it's a part of the car.

It looks like they used Overlay.
