That's pretty cool.

An extrasolar planet under three suns has been discovered in the constellation Cygnus by a planetary scientist at the California Institute of Technology using the 10-meter Keck I telescope in Hawaii. The planet is slightly larger than Jupiter and, given that it has to contend with the gravitational pull of three bodies, promises to seriously challenge our current understanding of how planets are formed.

Sun cream producers have just found a new market.
But seriously, it makes you wonder how the planet was formed. I should think the primordial disk of matter would evaporate way to soon, with three heavy-weight celestial bodies pulling at it, for anything big to develop. It can't be a galactic wanderer either: since the planet is gaseous, it would lose nearly all its matter on the inter-solar trip (save for the solid core). What would its orbit look like?
EDIT: hmm, I should read the article before replying - it asks the same questions I did. Doesn't answer them, though.

Makes me think what SHAPE the planet is more than anything...

Earth's second one is called Cruithne. It was discovered in 1986 and it takes a convoluted horseshoe path around our planet as it is tossed about by the Earth's and the Moon's gravity.

Hello my friends.
I don’t know if this whole thing is a conspiracy but
some of you read my threads about working in the great great north where it’s almost complete daytime 4 months/nighttime 4months.
In that particular region at one time during a few weeks we could see three suns. Believe it or not, I wish there is someone in here that already been in the great north to confirm this. There was a big sun in the middle with one smaller each side of it. I will post pics of it I have taken at the time.

They're called "sun dogs" and the phenomena is caused by ice crystals suspended in cold air. They occur as far south as North Dakota....as well as Aurora Borealis.
More info on sun dogs

Thanks my friends Oeloe and
GONNAFISTYA
I didn't know the name for it.
This is the closest of a pic I found, close to what I saw.
You should have seen also the ''aurores boreals'' there and a sunset at 3 AM, That's right, I have pics of a sunset at three
o'clock in the morning, amazing. Like another world on our own planet.
BTW, how did you know about the sundogs?...You are in astronomy?...I wasn't sure to reply at first because I was already
seeing all the lol, wtf coming.
PS. Again it is in Deception Bay. Pics I showed you in other threads.
Thanks again.
Pete
