This must be have the worst game ever award before its even released.

Not only is it powered by Source, not only is it sold over Steam (With boxs in shops too), not only are the "episodes" it will come out in gonna be completed in like an hour, not only will this game end up costing you 5 times the amount of a normal game...

But it also looks 100% ugly as fuck:

Daikatana rocked :D The trouble with that game is that it was a few years ahead of its time. Oh and metal frogs.

I don't think it looks that bad, hard to judge a game by screenshots or engine. I've never seen bodies hover like that in hl2 or source.

Proportion of PC users who will be able to run Gears of War at full settings with a good framerate when it comes out: 1%

Proportion of PC users who will be able to run SiN at full settings with a good framerate when it comes out: 90%

Figure it out, do the math$

Yeah, way to save that fortune killing $50. You're just like those kids that brag that they stole a piece of candy from a store. Nobody cares about that either.

There is no unreal 3 as yet. Its all Gears of war. everything from UE3 tech demo's is in-game Gears Of War.

And Geebs, your forgetting the biggest problem with sin. They want you to pay £20 for a game that will last an hour, and then wait a few months for the next hour long game to come out. All the time while using Steam, which will most likely crash when you use it like it does for most users now. And when you can get on, it will ask you to install the game AGAIN by downloading all the content you just installed.

In all, when its released, there will be a big flock of people "installing" the game in this way, which means it will probably take longer to install the game than to actually complete the episode.

That's your estimate rather than theirs though, isn't it?

I seem to remember the original SiN being quite a lot of juvenile fun. My main point though, apart from the system requirements thing, is that art direction isn't the same thing as engine features. GoW look like it might go all iD square jaws and browny orangey reddy brown

Fine whatever, my point is tha you don't need to come here every day and announce that you're loaded and don't pay for shit. No one cares.

I never said i didn't enjoy Sin ;) In fact I tell many people who have never even heard of it to play it. It got lost because it came out the same time as HL. And dont even try and get me started on Art Direction, as Sin 2 looks way to clean :p

2 things.

It looks good, cutting edge it might not be, but since when did it ever claim it was going to push the limits of graphics and gameplay. It looks sharp enough for a uncompleted game.

Second, its ritual. This game is going to be FUN. Sin was the most fun i have had out of any of the FPS's i have played, nothing holds a candle to it. So while it might not be the million dollar card melting gae YOU want it to be, the target audience is frothing at the mouth for this and it looks great to us.

And the episodes last longer then a hour if im not mistaken.

Look, if you dont like it dont play it. Seems pretty simple.

Lol, kinda hard to punch though the internet isn't it? I'm scared, really. :dork: I'm done derailing this thread.
