Post what your job is

No one needs to actually name a company or location or how much you make or anything.
Just why not post what your job is? I know we have had these threads before anyone says anything but the last one I read was ages ago so I don't remember your job if you even posted in it.
I will go first.
I am a full time single Mom and I work part time for an agency that provides a social service.

I work through an agency that throws me around different manufacturing plants, currently I'm working full time as an operator assistant at an extrusion plant (we make plastic, rubber, etc). I like the job, but the agency is giving me fucking night shift for the third week already

There is really no need to be rude. If you don't want to share the information or aren't working, fine---feel free to ignore the thread.
But no one will be impressed with anyone who just spams rude things into a thread that asks a simple and genuine question.

That was sarcasm...it's a long story involving something else...

I am not here to entertain you. I just asked a question I was curious about---like many people here will. If I don't care about the question or think it is boring (often enough, I admit), I ignore the thread rather than waste time trolling it.
*is through trying to reason with boring trolls*

But to be honest - you all know I teach high school. I also do (although I am not currenty) some contracted editing for a company that provides customized networking solutions for businesses (especially credit unions). I edit/write technical proposals and other crap. I also do contracted writing for a textbook company (Sinauer Associates). I write the support materials - I've written test banks (which are big books of multiple choice questions to accompany the textbook - questions that professors can use to generate tests.) You want a challenge - try writing 50+ *good* multiple choice questions for one chapter college level science textbook. Then multiply that by 20 chapters. It was no fun - really tough to come up with 3 additional plausible (but incorrect) answers to some of the more complex stuff. I also write Instructor's Manuals - which are basically guides for teaching the material in the text. They provide teaching suggestions, discussion questions, as well as explanations for some of the most complicated material.
Up until last year, I did some private personal training for people. I also coach golf.
So yea, that's about it.

OK, I do make a lot of picture threads. Some of the people I have been friends with over the years have been just as amused with them--if for no other reason than they are often a harvest of PS material.
I have never made a what is your job thread. Ever. Since I have been regged here or anywhere. So I have no idea who you are thinking of. Some threads get posted more than once because things change---just like what you are listening to does. (And I usually find that a boring thread.)
I am surprised you do not flame me for all the aimee threads me and Duhy have posted or several tower threads that got huge and involved id or even the old BD chat thread that saturn posted but I contributed a lot of spam to (if you have been here that long) or even the thread where me and jns told everone Jackal was dead at his request..
I have no idea why you don't like me---if I have ever offended you it was unintentional.

What social service? The phrase "working part time for an agency that provides a social service" sounds like a nice way of saying you are a prostitute.

I have always respected you tremendously for being able to teach and teaching that grade level. Some people have the gift of being about to understand a concept and them pass it on to someone else---actually teach them to understand it. Others of us just do good to understand the concept ourselves.
:icon14: to you---teachers are always underrated
