It's been utterly horrid here for the past three weeks. Humid as fuck and sunny for most of the day, then thunderstorms in the afternoon. It's like living in Florida again.

I read this thing on a runners magazine about how Arizona/Nevada/Utah runners have started to only jog/run on the white lines on the road to prevent excessive melt of their shoe soles.

In June we hit a record of canicules
for 9 days with 30 someC but with the humidity factor
felt more like 40C. Then it’s pouring rain with storms
braking big trees and electricity power down. Than it
comes back again at 40C. Have to finish installing shingles
on the house…I just brought the pile of shingles on top of the
roof and was sweating so much…I never experienced that warm
weather before. The roof was steaming, must have been like 50C
up there.
