My 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix

I bought my car in September of 2004. My dad was walking around his neighborhood and saw it on the street with a For Sale sign on it. I had mentioned that I wanted to get a Grand Prix as my next car. He saw this one, and he knew it was the car for me. I went to San Antonio to look at it. It had 81300 miles on it. That is below average mileage for a '95. I got the owner to come down to $3000, and the car was mine.

Special thanks to Meredith Barthelemy who drove me to San Antonio to get the car. We also had to withdraw the money from my account in CA$H.

Have you ever had $3000 in your hands? It makes you a little light-headed.

Here are some pictures a couple of days after I bought it:

I like my car. My moms says, "It's me"...whatever that means. I have a done a couple of things to it in the past few months:

* Front Goodyear Eagle LS Tires (Discount Tire Co - $119.00 ea)
* (Groovy Automotive - $581)

Let's face it. I live in Texas, and if you don't have AC, then your car is that last place you want to be during a hot day. It was expensive to fix, but there are just some things that you have to have.

* Airbags (Brother's Auto Parts - $450)

Image

* The car's front end was damaged in a wreck before I bought it, so the stirring wheel was missing the airbag module, and the passenger side cover was cracked from deployment. I replaced them myself and saved about $1000.

* Pioneer DEH-P4500MP CD Deck (Best Buy - $179.99)

Image

* The Old Radio...gosh I miss that tape deck.

* Radiator (AutoZone - $189.99)

* I replaced the radiator in hopes of reducing the temperature while on the highway, but it is still above normal operating temperature. It is fine at idle though...still trying to figure that one out. The first radiator I bought had a drilled hole in it, so I had to take that one out, go get a new one, and put the second one in. After two radiator changes, I find it very easy to do one of these now.

*Future Upgrades:

* CV axel replacement
* Rockford Fosgate 5 1/4 front speakers
* Rockford Fosgate 6 X 9 rear speakers
* New tinted windows

doesn't look too shabby for 3g's. you think 3g's makes you feel funny you should try 60,000.

My father had a grand prix GTP supercharged that was an awsome ride.

So wtf? you just posted a whole topic about how you got your car and shit and you got it back in 2004? (i did miss that)

What are you fucking bored out of your skull or something? My story of buying a car is better anyway and I'll tell it to save this fucking pathetic thread.

I was out partying one night and was heading back home but it was like 3am and winter so the windows were all frozen. some idiot had parked a car right behind my car but facing a different direction so the passenger side of the car was facing the back of my car. There was space for me to pull out cause it was a distance away but since it was parked in such an odd spot I didn't really notice it, that and it was black, and 3am and my windows were still frozen.

So anyway, I back up and hit the car. Shitty. Despite what you fags think about the things I do and shit I'm actualy a very honest person and left my name and number on the guy's wiper blade so he can call me the next day.

Well... buddy never calls for 3 weeks, I'm thinking he saw the dent and just never bothered since it was a pretty small ding, nothing major, least I didn't think it was. Well 3 weeks later he calls and tells me the car I hit was a demo and that he was a actualy a car salesmen.

He told me he tried to sell the car at a discounted price (good deal on lease) but that the guy had changed his mind because of the dent so he had to get me to fix it now which was roughly 800$ worth of damage.

So I said yeah I'd make arrangements to pay him. 15 minutes later I called him back and asked him what kind of deal he was cutting for the other guy and he told me. So I said forget the ding, I'll buy the car. :p

I swear to you that's how I bought my car, I later totaled it in may of 2002 and bought the 2003 Tiburon I just sold a couple months ago.

There... now this thread doesn't suck so much.

I've had to do three rear end changes in my driveway.
That was pretty easy actually.

oh, so since it's a few years old now it's a piece of sh*t? tell me Soapbuoy, do you buy a new HU every year upon release? and, as soon as the new model is released, last year's instantly becomes a piece of sh*t? please, for the love of milky backwash tell me you're not that stupid.

Yeah I figured you wouldn't beleive it cause you're a retard with a boring life. Funny thing too, the party I was at was at a waitress that worked for me at a restaurant I used to manage. Cute too loved hockey.

What's funny is when I went to the dealership to buy the car the pics of the new Tiburon were posted in the office and I told the guy I bought the car from that I'd rather have that one. This was in January and the car came out if Febuary and I totaled the car in May, went back and got my car. He always suspected I totaled the car on purpose just to get the other car. :)

About 3 years ago I always said I didn't beleive sys0p whenever he told one of his stories. So this is amusing.

its called working from the ground up, if the thermos is FINE, then you look else ware..

a head is about ~200-500 ( depending on the engine/make etc ) wile a thermo's is about ~$10

especally if that is the 3.1, i really dont think that it would be a head.

he stated he'd done an extensive amount of work.

No its a piece of shit because its a mass-produced Pioneer from Best Buy. Should atleast get the Premier series if you want to get a Pioneer. I picked up Kenwood's top-of-line unit for the eclipse because I wanted to pick up a 20gb keg but I'm so unimpressed with the unit that I'm not even going to bother with the keg. As far as I'm concerned Clarion is still the best when it comes to mobile receivers.

Oh and don't bother with those Fosgate speakers. Pick up some Infinity Kappa component speakers on ebay.
