i have a problem with my quake

i just reinstalled my quake 3 and i installed the 1.16n patch so i can play on the demo servers too and everytime i open it a error comes up and i cant play...any fixxs to this?

Demo servers use the 1.11 PR.

it doesnt say the errorr it just says an error accoured sorry for the inconveince trhen it says send error report dont send error report

Might be a bad download. Download and install it again and see if it helps.

Where does the error come up? Does the game crash and say it in Windows or does it kick you to the menu?
What version did you have before you installed 1.16?

Why are you still playing demo! it's so old. Buy the full copy of the game in your local game depository's bargain bin, it's like 5 bux now (or download it w/ BitTorrent
) Apart from that the 1.16 patch is for a full copy of the game, AFAIK there are no patches for the demo version.

Auburndale, I don't think he means he has the demo. I think he just wants to play on the demo servers. One of the versions, and I'm not sure which, let's you play on servers with people who have the demo.

You can try dr. watson's pr switcher
http://phair.csh.rit.edu/~drwatson/q3a/drwpr.html, but I'm not sure if it will support the demo servers. Make sure you are using the all-seeing eye for server browsing. A lot of the demo servers show up as 1.15c in ase, I don't think I've heard of that pr.
