Ok, I'm going to make a couple of things clear from the start:

1) This thread is not about the supposed medicinal benefits; 99.99% of caners have no coexisting medical condition.
2) I don't care that you can make rope out of it.
3) This is only partly inspired by the fact that I get a couple of people with green fever every week and I'm sick to death of looking after them.

That said, why is it that stoners always assume that it's their inaliable right to turn themselves into giggling fuckwits?

They seem to generally be lazy cunts in my admittedly small experience.

I'd say most people who drink a lot every day are lazy bums and losers too. What is your point Geebs?

as much as i loved smoking it, i have to admit you are correct.

i compare myself now (not smoking - working like a bitch) to how i was 4 yrs ago (smoking all day long - lazy cunt)

I associate weed with the idiots smoking the crap in the back of the tram or bus. The stuff smells horrible. And it's usually accompanied by that intellectually backwards social behaviour that's strongly influenced by them black rappers you see on MTV, with all their "bling bling", "ho's and bitches" and "gangsta attitude".

These losers for life pack together like a group of animals scared to show their weakness and cling together like they're a bunch of faggots whose dicks instantly inflated halfway during intercourse, getting them stuck in the process.

These people, actually try to "beatbox" and "rap" their way into "coolness", using their own hands as drumsticks and using their mouths as slightly crippled beatbox, generating rythms that are so increadibly off-beat and a-musical that Bach himself turns a few times in his grave.

This whole air of "we're cool because we actually attempt to act like the commercially generated people we see on television" just makes me puke. Good for nothing dipshits.


That's all a bit off topic I guess so I'll stop my rambling here. Gives the general impression I get from weed smokers though.

Yeah exactly, I know of plenty people who get stoned now and again; it's the mates that stayed in their rooms all day and spent half of it smoking and couldn't be arsed turning up at uni that pissed me off. One of them would drink bottles of wine or whatever on his own a lot of nights of the week too, way to motivate yourself son.

Anyhow, yeah, moderation's exactly it, same as everything. I'm not bothered about trying it again but whatever.

anyone who gets too far into any drug is going to be a knob, no two ways about it.
tricky with weed/hash because it's easy to fall into a habit without realising and then it's bloody hard to get out again.

just out of interest, Geebs - do you see many 'soap bar' smokers in your line of work? really unlikely the stuff would ever send anyone psychotic because it just isn't strong enough - was wondering more about lung troubles, reactions to poisons, that sort of thing. there was a mini-epidemic of people with swollen faces round here a while back because of something in the soap bar - folks with their lips puffed out or swollen glands and complaining about breathing trouble.

Isn't soap made out of leftovers from other drugs cut with all kinds of crap, or something?

BTW i broke my habit of smoking almost daily about a year ago. Nowadays i only smoke once a week or so... I try and make it a point not to smoke whenever i have responsabilities (including social ones), which is almost every day except sunday. That works quite well

that sounds far too much like the old me.

day off work, wake up, skin up in bed, smoke then wank.
spend the next 3 hours eating and smoking.
get to my dealers, score, sit there with a bunch of twats smoking.
go to my friends, sit there watching jackie chan movies, listening to stoner music and playing computer games.
come home, turn the pc on, smoke, game, eat, wank.

i used to smoke about 1/8th of nice weed a day.

20 pounds x 365 = 7k a year.

i smoked at that rate for about 7yrs. (although i started smoking resin which is cheaper)

i still reckon smoking cost me at least 30grand.

He didn't have enough to spend being a skint student, but he still had plenty. He went pretty crazy a month or so ago (he doesn't live here now, parents took him home); the general opinion of us in the house I think is that the stress of a dissertation plus other work added to his getting pissed and stoned every day helped him on his way. A rarity I'd have thought, but fucking creepy when it happened.

I smoke a fair bit of weed and pull straight A's off in school. Hell, a good friend of mine smokes more than me and he's in the top 3 percentile of med students in canada.
To be fair however a lot of people who smoke do in fact turn into retards. I think it has more to do with your general disposition than anything else.
