actually the majority of Canadians do want it and our Supreme Court has mandated it, in order to conform to our Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Luckily, rigid theocrats aren't in vogue. As usual you're wrong, Canadians either don't care or outright support gay marriage. Relatively few Canadians (albertans) were opposed.
