Yeah, these games are kinda fun.

FF1/2/3/4/5 - Ugh, fucking ugly...
FF6 - Ugly but has some cool characters and a nice story
FF7 - ownage
FF8 - gameplay sucks and the story is shit towards the end, but still playable
FF9 - pretty good if you don't mind the cartoony style
FFX - Tidus needs to fucking die (and his voice actor too), and Seymour is the gayest bad gay ever, but the sphere magic system is pretty cool and it has nice graphics
FFXI - an MMORPG in the FF universe :icon19:
FF Tactics - fucking hard
Chrono Trigger - cool
Chrono Cross - playing right now, it's okay

FF Tactics is awesome, it has a pretty deep storyline. Some of the battles esp. the later ones are really hard, you have to do a ton of grinding or you won't be ready for them. I kinda liked the challenge though, it was cool how when you do the grind the baddies also level up so you are fighting on virtually even ground.

I don't think I ever finished it, logged almost 100hrs into it back on the PS1 If I had my old save I would try playing it on emu but I don't have it.

I bought it a few years ago but I never really got into it...boring compared to the real Final Fantasy games.

I still have the original FFVII, FFIX, FFX and FFX-2.

All the other versions are warezed on emulators.

Are you fucking serious? :icon27: There is a point where old games are too outdated to be enjoyable anymore and those games have reached that point IMO. Besides, they really aren't that great anyway. People like you probably think their cool for liking the "old skool!11" FF games instead of all the "noewbs" who play the modern FF games. I guess if your into RPG's with some of the worst English translations ever, virtually no real story or character developement and a tedious repetition of the same fantasy subjects over and over again as well as having to enjoy watered down versions of games over their Japanese originals (or having to look for fan translations online), FF1-5 are for you. There is a big difference between a good game that has stood the test of time, namely FF6, and those games.

I'm sure those games were fun when they originally came out. But so was pac man.

You got pretty worked up about that considering your first post suggested you didn't like them simply because they didn't have pretty graphics. I personally find FF2 much more enjoyable than FF7 -- truly the most overrated of all them. Even if we were making judgements based on looks, I find FF6 better looking than FF7. Never understood what it was everyone liked so much about it...

But yeah, on the whole, FF games rule.

and while the old o0nes are ugly (whatd you expect, theyre on NES and SNES), they rock. FF7 topped it ofcourse, and 9 was pretty cool too - although they rushed the story in the last 30 mins of the game and suddenly introduced the 'main bad guy' 2 secs before you kill him
