Fucking rawks. Fun as hell.
I played it all day yesterday pretty much and it's awsome. The best part of the game though has to be the AI you train to drive for you. Totaly the most original thing I've seen in a racing game in awhile.
Anyone else play it?

I haven't played GT4 yet but It's a lot like GT3 with better graphics. The part I like best about it though is that unlike GT3 you take realistic damage to your car so if you bang into things a lot it seriously hurts you in the long run. I also like the line they have when you race. It shows you where you should be driving and the line turns red if you're going too fast for a section indicating when you should be breaking, pretty neat little tool. Overall though the racing is really cool, plus if you feel like taking a break to smoke a J you can have you're AI race for you

I WISH I had Xbox live at home though, this game would own online. What's neat too is if you play online you can get money just like you were playing the single player game to buy upgrades

I've had it since it came out. Still working on getting through all the events (the single player 'campaign' is very long). Lots of customization options to your car, but still not the 'sim' that GT4 is. Forza has a much more arcade style feel, which is fine with me because I enjoy that a lot more. Really fun online too. Check out some of the websites with custom car designs Kracus, you'll be amazed at what people can do by simply layering, coloring, and tweaking the shape and size of vinyls.
For example:

I played it for about 2 seconds before getting bored. It's not a patch on Gran Turismo, rubberband or not. Tracks are very dull.

I really disliked gran turismo.
Never really got the feeling of 'speed' with many of the cars.
I don't think it is even worth comparing them though, because they appeal to different crowds for different reasons. It'd be like trying to compare a football simulation game like Madden or ESPN NFL 2k5 to a game like NFL blitz.

lol what happened hit the walls too many times saw actual damage to your car and quit?
I'm not saying you can't have a preference but to say that the tracks are dull is stupid if you played it for 2 seconds as you say. I love the tracks and they're extremely challenging. Most people don't realize that in Forza you can turn everything off like abs, tcs. Right now when I play I play it on Normal with manual gearbox and everything off except the line. It's fucking tough and closer to a sim I've found than GT3 was. I haven't tried GT4 so I can't really compare but I'm expecting GT3 feel for GT4. The one thing that Forza has that impresses me more than GT3 did was the ability to train a driver, the graphics, the fact I get bonus % depending on the fact that I drive manual, don't have TCS or ABS on and all those extras make it extremely neat to be rewarded extra money for winning.
Each game has it's strengths and weaknesses but my point is if you like GT4 or GT3 and hate Forza then you're obviously a GT fanboy or can't tell a good game when you see one. I love all the Grand Turismo games and I'll be playing GT4 too, it doesn't mean I hate Forza Motorsports.

Yeah, so it's
just like real life
. Plus you can sling round corners far more easily in Forza.
The last race sim I really liked was actually Rallisport Challenge.

I don't know what the fuck corners you're talking about. I've played the shit outta this game over the last three days and i've slung around maybe 2 or 3 corners and in each instance, even when I drift well it's still slower then taking the corner properly. The game is so realistic you can't break and turn at the same time if the breaks are fully engaged, no other game does this yet this is how real cars would really handle in that situation.
Today I even noticed that when you scrape a wall paint from your car get's left on the wall.

That's fucking cool, little things like that make a game like this awsome.

Rallisport is hardly a sim, but it's incredibly enjoyable to play

The original Gran Turismo had that. I'm going to give Forza another go - I suspect that the terrible music and the kind of GT lookie-likey menus are the main turn off at the mo.

GT4 fucking sucks. BIG HAIRY BALLS.
Its so fucking twitchey its crazy, you can win any race with pure ease and its hardly realistic. Sure, its a step in the right direction, but i played this game about 5 years ago when GT3 came out.
And if you scrap the "half decent but ok for PS2" graphics, you will find its just the same fucking game as GT2 was. WOOHOO.
Forza is great, and at times, solid as fuck.
facking liar
