The movie was basically made at some dude's house on a $7,000 budget and got top prize at the Sundance Festival. Any explanation I could give will ruin your experience of the movie so just check out those links. Don't read any of the user's threads until you watch it (and believe me...you will want to afterwards).

I just watched it and that was so fucking good.
I'll try and get some mates to watch it again tomorrow and see what they make of it. As soon as it had finished i wanted to watch it again

Same here. I tried checking out the commentary but it was all a bunch of gay stuff like "lol this kid was my neighbor" or "that house on the corner was actually my third cousins mothers".
There is a thread on that IMDB page with a great explanation of the story. I want to rewatch the movie now that I've read it.

The trailer doesn't give me the feeling to go watch the movie tbh. Felt numb.

I have it coming in tomorrow from Netflix, the trailer looked pretty good... the last movie i got that was recommended here Donnie Darke was pretty f-ing good. Most of you guys have good movie taste. :icon30:

Darko is the shit. This movie is actually really similar to Darko now that I think about it.

Great film, but incredibly confusing on first viewing. Reading the explanation on IMDB helps a lot, but I forsee it'll take a few more viewings before I truly understand what is happening. Very clever film though, thanks for the suggestion.

saw it a few months ago - very nicely done movie but i was utterly confused and i couldn't hear much of the dialogue. Might give it another viewing some time in the future (or the past)

Great movie thanks for suggesting it I would have missed it otherwise, for the record Donnie Darko owns.
