The commercial for KFC became Britain's most complained about ad, with 1,671 members of the public contacting the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).
Offended viewers said it encouraged bad manners in children by making it appear funny to sing or speak while eating, and 41 of those who complained said their children had aped the ad.

Fucking hell...
Parents need a wake up call...
"ITS YOUR BAD PARENTING THAT IS THE PROBLEM, NOT ADVERTS, MUSIC, GAMES OR FILMS!"
It really is crazy....
"In other news, little timmy went wild at his trailer park, killing 15 kids with a knife. Witnesses at the scene said Timmy played a lot of computer games where you would often shoot people and collect gold coins. Timmies parents could not be interviewed at this time, as they were stoned out of their heads in the back of their 3x4 foot caravan. The investigation continues..."

That's pretty sad, true kids copy stuff but any half decent parent'd either let it go or discipline them.
As far as retarded niggles go, England is probably the worst of the world.

Advertisements should never be targeted towards children anyway.
Aren't there laws over there against it though? There aren't any over here, and I believe there should be.

Here in the Netherlands (religious) people complained about
this (
http://streams.versatel.nl/3p/commercial3.wmv) commercial because of the reference to the "hand of god". They found it disrespectful towards their religion.
Bunch of idiots.

Why is it that stupidity always seems to win out? I and many others I know understand that if our children are fuckups, it's OUR fault. Yet, I never hear even a whisper of that in the media. It's always finger-pointing and blame-shifting.

aye, but i don't know how relevant that is to this ad. i've seen my mates kids singing the song from the ad with a mouthful of chocolate - so the criticism levelled against it sounds entirely justifiable to me. it's just people complaining about rudeness and bad manners. think it caught on as a playground thing *because* parents would've told them not to talk with their mouths full.
that's a whole different level to some dipshits family blaming gta3 because their little psycho butchered his neighbours with a spoon.
one possible upside to it is that kfc might drop their 'soul food' campaign - that whole bloody "i'm a ni**er, he's a ni**er, she's a ni**er, we some ni**ers. wouldn't'cha like to be a ni**er too! " thing really bugs me.
