Quake3World

Started playing this game last night and figured I'd mention it to you folks. I feel like it's the type of game a lot of people here might enjoy. Basically a new take on the survival genre except you spend your time automating the resource collection aspect using extractors and conveyor belts. It's a well made game and if you're slightly ADHD it definitely scratches that itch. I thought it was going to be a top down game like sim city style but nah, it's first person and you have to build these lookout towers to get a view of what you're making so it all works together. My base has so many powerlines going every which way it looks like a spiderweb...

I intend to give it another playthrough now that it hit version 1.0. Big old time-sink though, need a chunk of time and autism to get through the first tiers and unlock all the toys

This and getting back into StormWorks are like 100-hour-minimum monsters on the horizon for me.

It's 3D Factorio?

Yeah, I never did try factorio but I've heard of it. I've spent 10 hours in the game already in 2 days... The base just keeps getting bigger and bigger, it's like this monstrosity of planetary resource extraction and I love it. I like the glados style robot giving you orders too, they did a good job with the humor.

I'm in tier 3 & 4 and holy shit they expect a lot of specialized part to reach tier 5 so I'll be here a while I suspect. Got coal plants now though so at least I'm done chopping down trees for power.
