Thought to post here old T&T is locked.

I would like 64GB RAM on my new rig and I have a Customer Builder putting it together but he suggests 4 x 16gb RAM modules where, if I remember correctly, the less modules the better.

His option is to put in 4 of either of the below
Thermaltake 32GB (2x16GB) RG30D516GX2-5600C36A TOUGHRAM Z-ONE RGB D5 5600MHz DDR5 RAM - Black
OR
Thermaltake 32GB (2x16GB) ToughRAM RGB 5600MT/s DDR5 RAM - Black (RG31D516GX2-5600C36A)

Note: Thermaltake 2x32GB 5600MHz DDR5 are currently unavailable here at least.

My option is to only have 2 sticks
Corsair Vengeance RGB 64GB (2x32GB) C40 6000MHz DDR5 RAM - Black (CMH64GX5M2B6000C40)

Yes, I see the speed difference, 5600MHz vs 6000MHz. The MB, a MSI Z790 Pro Motherboard, Memory clock speed ‎7200 MHz, I believe (not certain) can manage. Yes, might be overkill/unnecessary, but the dollar is small.

Which is the best, less problematic choice, read what would you install?

I would go with the 2x32 Corsair sticks, better speed and also less hassle. The plus side, less space being taken inside your box also, if a stick goes bad, you only have to check/test 2 of them instead of 4.

As mentioned, go with 2 for stability and overclocking potential. 4 just looks better aesthetically.

Also latency is very important and depending on your needs, can have a bigger performance impact than clock speed. Keep it in mind when choosing memory.
