Just heard .. Crazy.....9 dead and 16 injured... Driver in custody. Canada doesn't have the death penalty I suppose.

10 dead, currently. Driver identified. Not a greater security threat, not an act of terrorism. Cop who arrested him handled the situation without incident. Looks like the driver was trying to provoke the officer into shooting him.

Just watched it play out on the news, terrible thing. Life in prison, much worse than the death penalty in my opinion, all those years behind bars at first thinking you got away with it then thinking about all the years ahead of you your going to have to spend locked up.

Yes, have to agree there. Life imprisonment with no chance of release instead of the death penalty
Any news on the age of the driver as yet?

25 year old loser. Allegedly (using this term loosely here) inspired by the 2014 Isla Vista killings, angry over being rebuffed by women.

I have family and friends who live in the area, thankfully all checked in okay. I'm really sorry for the victims and their families. Toronto is otherwise a pretty peaceful big city only to have this fucker mess it up for the rest of us. There is perhaps a cultural issue we need to resolve if some men think that women somehow owe them something. Maybe this guy will finally get some "love" in prison.
